ABOUT US:
Delve Psychiatry began in 2020 when John Reitano, MD moved to Las Vegas from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to open a comprehensive mental health practice. Dr. Reitano is a general psychiatrist with experience in psychotherapy and psychopharmacology with significant experience in PTSD, Affective Disorders and Substance Use. He trained at The University of Pennsylvania, as well as being an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Reitano has spent the past 30 years treating private patients, patients at community mental health clinics, and couples and families seeking Family Therapy. He has experience in Forensic Psychiatry (civil and criminal, including death penalty cases), and has spent time working in prisons and juvenile detention centers. He has worked in hospitals—specifically, in adolescent and adult inpatient treatment, crisis and consultation-liaison work.
We are centrally located in Las Vegas in Medical District in a well-appointed office space. The small staff is a supportive, creative, but serious environment. We love what we do.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & LICENSING:
- Master's degree in social work, or other related human services degree which would qualify for LCSW licensing
- Current licensure, in good standing, as a LCSW in state of Nevada
- Minimum of 1-year post-licensure experience
- Must be able to be sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues
- Good written and verbal communication skills required
- Must have valid Driver's license and a positive driving record
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide psychosocial and cognitive rehabilitation services designed to improve or maintain a client's emotional stability and functional capacity while coping with loss of independence, decline in health or a decrease in cognitive function
- Conduct evaluations/problem identification, crisis interventions, and individual and family therapy
- Develop progressive and adaptable treatment plans as needed and appropriate
- Ability to work independently, flexibly, and quickly adapt to changing situations
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records consistent with practice standards
- Must have a clear understanding of HIPAA, confidentiality, personal boundaries and be self-assured in a variety of situations
- Participate in professional development sessions as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
