Metglas, Inc., located in Conway, SC, is a world leading producer of Amorphous Metal Ribbon. Since our company began in the 1970’s, Metglas, Inc. (then Allied Signal located in Morristown, NJ) pioneered the development and production of amorphous metal, a unique alloy that exhibits a structure in which the metal atoms occur in a random pattern. The key to Metglas Inc.’s proprietary manufacturing process is the rapid-solidification of molten alloy at a rate of approximately one million degrees Celsius per second.
We are currently hiring for a Casting Coordinator for our busy 24/7 manufacturing plant!
Responsibilities of Position:
- Committed to ensuring the safety of others and self through always working in a safe manner and following all safety procedures
- Development and support of line operator training goals
- Assists line supervisor(s) with all training activities
- Promote and expand learning and development opportunities across production lines
- Analyze processes and data to determine training needs and develop materials
- Deliver production and quality output required in his/her designated areas to achieve Amorphous Metals Business Plan
- Communicate and drive World Class Safety and housekeeping expectations and results in their work area
- Identify and explore productivity opportunities to help reduce cost of manufactured goods
- Improve existing ISO certified processes using continuous improvement model including resolving of CARS
- Establish and maintain manufacturing process visual workplace supporting Amorphous Metals Business Plan
Key Success Factors:
- Communicate expectations to all crew personnel and drive visual workplace initiatives in assigned production areas
- Be proactive, resolve issues, and drive training initiatives independently or within a team environment
- Effectively integrate new processes and products into existing manufacturing structure
- Provide consistent and timely performance feedback to employees throughout the manufacturing process
- Solicit feedback from plant personnel on opportunities to improve processes (yields, procedures, methods, etc.)
- Effectively integrate with other shift crews to deliver production and quality objectives for appropriate area
- Rotate shifts as needed/required, to include days, nights, weekends, & holidays; able to work OT and cover others’ vacations as needed/required
- Other duties as assigned
Attributes/Skills Required/Sought:
- Ability to communicate effectively with plant personnel

Experience/Education Required/Sought:
- Minimum of high school diploma/GED or a combination of manufacturing experience and education
- Demonstrated above standard level of attendance and performance
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Experience in multiple-product manufacturing environment desired
