Hilton garden Inn Austin Airport is currently hiring for a hotel public area attendant.
The Public Area Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all public areas of the hotel, responding to guest requests and driving the hotel shuttle to the airport and other areas as directed by management in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The competence of the employee in performing his or her job duties will be demonstrated, maintained, and improved on an ongoing basis
JOB RESPONSIBILITES
- Assist room attendants with stripping beds and removing used linen and towels.
- Deliver towels to laundry for cleaning.
- Deliver fresh towels and linens to room attendants for guest rooms.
- Deliver additional supplies to room attendants as needed and as necessary.
- Vacuum public areas of the hotel.
- Perform duties in accordance with brand standards and with emphasis on meeting or exceeding guest expectations.
- Welcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile, eye contact and a friendly verbal greeting using the guest’s name when possible.
- Responds promptly to customer and coworker needs, and continually strives to improve service.
- Respond to requests for service and assistance.
- Inform guests of property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Ability to effectively communicate with room attendants to ensure efficient and timely cleaning of guest rooms.
- Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision and as a team-player with proven success in relationship building.
- Ability to provide excellent service and exceed expectations.
- Ability to solve problems and make decision in a personable and self-confident manner.
- Proficient in English both verbal and written
- Ability to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever changing environment while remaining calm and collective.
- Be at least 21 years old, have a valid Texas Driver's License and possess a clean driving record.
