North Valley Hospital District's Rural Healthcare Clinic operates Monday - Friday and is closed on holidays and weekends. There is no on-call requirement for this role or a need to work weekends.
*North Valley Hospital and our Rural Healthcare Clinic are in Tonasket, in the Sunny Okanogan Valley of North Central Washington State. We are a short drive to Canada's fantastic wine country, world-class skiing, and summer vacation favorites, including Osoyoos Lake, Penticton, and the wider region. *Qualifications*:
Licensed ARNP in the State of Washington;
* Certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center; and/or ACFNP
* DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration for prescribing medications.
* At least two (2) years’ experience as an ARNP.
* At least two (2) years’ experience delivering Women’s Healthcare (preferred).
* Current BLS Certification
*ARNP Responsibilities*
*Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:*
* Conduct thorough health assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
* Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic medical conditions.
* Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
*Primary Care Services:*
* Provide primary care services, including health promotion, disease prevention, and wellness counseling.
* Manage and coordinate the care of patients with complex medical conditions.
* Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate.
*Emergency and Urgent Care:*
* Respond to medical emergencies and provide urgent care services as needed.
* Stabilize and initiate treatment for critical patients before transfer to a higher-level facility when necessary.
*Collaboration and Consultation:*
* Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
* Consult with specialists when required and make appropriate referrals.
*Patient Education:*
* Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
* Promote healthy lifestyle choices and preventive care.
*Record Keeping:*
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and clinical documentation.
* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
*Community Engagement:*
* Participate in community health outreach programs and educational initiatives.
* Foster positive relationships with patients and community members.
*Quality Improvement:*
* Contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts within the clinic.
* Stay current with evidence-based practices and clinical guidelines.
