Job summary
Martinus Bottom Line are seeking Foreman in rail construction to support our upcoming projects.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ability to manage a crew daily.
- Hold daily job briefings & toolbox talks.
- Input time for all members of the crew.
- Keep track of daily production.
- Follow all railroad, customer, and company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform duties as assigned by operations manager or superintendent.
- Monitor daily equipment checks by operators and tool checks by laborers.
- Maintain good working relationship with our customers.
- Maintain a safety conscious work ethic.
- Ability to fulfill laborer and operator duties, as needed.
- Use handheld mobile radio units to coordinate tasks and resources.
- Will obey all traffic laws, ordinances, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
- Be familiar with federal and state regulations as they relate to the railroad industry.
- Ability to update rules and manuals to assure continuous compliance with all railroad regulations.
- Adhere to and promote safe work practices.
- Effectively communicate with team members and customers.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, willingness to take direction.
- Willingness to tackle new and challenging tasks.
- Required minimum 2 years experience managing a crew in a railroad related field.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Essential physical requirements, such climbing, standing, bending, twisting and lifting.
- Exposures encountered, such as hazardous materials, loud noise, extreme heat/cold.
- Travel requirements as assigned.
- Must pass federal background check.
- Ability to comply with FRA 219 drug program.
- Possess and demonstrate knowledge of FRA 213 rules and regulations.
