Position Summary : Provide daily oversight and management of heavy commercial, military and industrial design/build projects throughout the Southeastern US. Plan, direct, and manage site supervision and subcontractors to ensure the goals of the project are accomplished within the established budget and time. Key Responsibilities
- Handle client relations for designated projects including pre-construction negotiations, change order management, and project close-out
- Use reporting tools and construction knowledge to manage project budgets
- Identify subcontractor team members and manage them to produce a satisfactory project outcome
- Successfully manage site supervision including Superintendents, Safety Officers and QC Staff while applying technical knowledge of means and methods
- Use industry tools to manage schedule and site constraints to complete projects within the allotted time
- Draft and approve contract purchase orders and subcontracts
- Provide project estimating via Timberline Software for new projects and Change orders on existing projects
- Review and approve project expenditures and subcontractor pay requests on a monthly basis
- Be willing and able to travel if the designated project requires
- Attend on-site project status meetings, establish meeting agendas, and work with all team members to problem solve
- Ability to function in a dynamic team environment
- Reports directly to Company owner and is based in the Companies’ home office
Software Skills Expected:
Scheduling via MS Project and/or Primavera
Estimating/Cost Control via Timberline_Sage
Proficiency in MS Office Suite(Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
USACE RMS/QCS
Education/Experience:
Degree in Construction Management or Engineering REQUIRED . At least 10 years of construction supervisory experience required .
Additional Training/Skills Preferred:
USACE Quality Control for Management Course
OSHA 30 or equivalent
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $130,783.87 per year
