Overview:
Under the general direction of the Consumer Loan Manager, performs assigned tasks with the intent of furthering the interests of the members and TelComm Credit Union. General areas of concentration are telephone service to members, assisting members with consumer loan applications and credit card loan applications, ensuring proper completion of documents, obtaining credit reports, maintaining collateral protection, maintaining accurate records, cross-selling and promoting credit union products & services, and ‘filing’ as necessary.
Roles and Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

Maintain good member relations at all times - through exceptional member service.

Answer telephone, respond to the caller, and/or direct the call to the proper person/office when needed.

Assist with verifying 'indirect loan' files and working directly with local dealerships to ensure compliance and completion with policies and procedures.

Assist in ‘counseling’ loan applicants and confirm loan applications are properly completed.

Complete the proper documents for implementing a loan, obtain pay stubs when necessary, secure proper signatures and obtain all supplemental documents - and signatures on documents - when required.

Determine eligibility of a co-maker from the co-maker’s application & credit report. Enter co-makers and/or loan applicant’s information on the computer system, as needed.

Obtain credit reports on loan applicants and/or co-makers when applicable from credit reporting agencies as required.

Coordinate with vendors to assure proper placement and lien perfection of TCU’s security interest.

Record information on approved (or rejected) loan applications.

Review the ‘loan log’ daily to ensure all loan applicants are notified by Loan Officer of the loan decision in writing - and/or verbally – of the applicant(s) loan approval (or denial) when applicable.

Submit ‘titles’ and other legal instruments for recording when needed.

‘File’ completed loan documents as necessary.

Loan processor will be responsible for processing loan payment coupon books in a timely manner and then forwarded to members.

Pull member's applications for those loan applications submitted online.

Responsible for scanning new loans into the electronic imaging system.

Assist in opening new accounts and processing paperwork for indirect loans.
