Overview:
Semper Tek, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, benefit administration and compliance, and will help maintain a culture of diversity, inclusion, engagement, and collaboration.
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Maintain affirmative action plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Manage onboarding and off boarding processes and ensure adherence to internal procedures and compliance of local, state, and federal laws
- Utilize Sage HR for HRIS functions including data entry, reporting, and employee information management
- Assist in benefit administration and support employees with benefit-related inquiries
- Conduct HR sourcing activities to attract top talent for the organization
- Collaborate on strategic planning initiatives to align HR practices with organizational goals
- Monitor current legislation and compliance requirements as they pertain to human resources
- Manage administrative tasks related to HR processes
- Assist with internal organizational communication related to employee engagement and initiatives
- Respond to employees’ questions regarding PTO, sick time, insurance, Fringe Pay, and 401K
- Maintain proper employee files with legal considerations for Data Protection
- Act as a liaison between the organization, employees, and benefit vendors
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience in HR/Benefit Management in a small business setting
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Ability to create materials, forms, and spreadsheets for internal use and company distribution
- Demonstrate proactive approaches to problem solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and detail oriented
- Ability to analyze and report data
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Skills Preferred:
- Certifications SHRM-CP
- 3-5 years of experience
- Experience with human resources information system (HRIS)

- Repeating motions that may include wrist, hands, and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, and controls

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
