Job summary
Responsible for designing, creating, and delivering marketing programs to support the growth and expansion of company products and services. Implement all encompassing PR and marketing plans and programs, both short and long term, to increase revenue, generate foot traffic and build awareness.
Summary of essential job functions
1. Creates communications programs that effectively describe and promote the organization and its products including graphics, brochures, company or product fact sheets, or other promotional products.
a. Design and produce weekly Green Grocer flyer, Market reports, Farmers Market report, market changes and any relevant product specials
b. Maintains the inventory of marketing materials (sales packets, spec sheets, vendor flyers, giveaways, etc.)
c. Compiles a master advertising calendar based on popular seasonal items
2. Researches and develops content for publication of products
3. Social Media Schedule- Creating content, brand awareness, and engagement through various social media platforms, Podcast,
a. Compile image library for content
b. Track significant company events and draft press releases for distribution
4. Input/coordinate/request samples from vendors/buyers. Review sample requests and log feedback
5. Assist in creating Special Presentations, contracts, and RFP’s
6. Maintain marketing database(s) and ensure data is accurate and correct
a. Coordinate All Bill backs and Vendor Marketing Programs
7. Creates Product Profiles/Pictures/Information for Produce Pro Web and online ordering
8. Liaison with Vendors which includes scheduling vendors for sales meetings/rep ride along, vendor usage reports
9. Performs special projects as assigned by ownership/ VP of Sales
10. Oversee planning of annual company expo and various sales events/contests throughout the year
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field 2 – 4 years of experience in the field or a related area
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Must have a wide range of experience and understanding of the marketing including product positioning, pricing, promotions, market research, sales, and distribution
A proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and Need strong ability to set priorities solves problems, and be resourceful under pressure
· Marketing/social media experience
· Knowledge of basic Produce Pro software (Prefer)
· Basic knowledge of Specialty produce (Prefer)
· General produce, basic and exotic cheeses, liquid dairy, dairy, and assorted frozen and grocery items (Prefer)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software- design software a plus
- Knowledge in the operation of basic office equipment such as copiers, phones, and printers.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to occasionally stand, sit, walk, bend and reach throughout the workday.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
