Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with patients of all ages to help them regain independence and improve their quality of life. You will assess patients' needs, develop treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to promote physical and mental well-being.
Duties:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' goals and needs
- Provide hands-on therapy to improve motor skills, coordination, and strength
- Teach patients adaptive techniques to enhance daily living activities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and adaptive equipment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience in pediatrics, critical care, or acute care settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and human development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in case management and patient service coordination
- Familiarity with speech therapy techniques is a plus
