Chesacanna Enhanced Wellness is a locally owned and operated medical cannabis dispensary known for our amazing customer service and knowledgeable staff. Our team of cannabis professionals are highly educated, knowledgeable and skilled. They take the time to listen to our patients and direct them to the best products possible which in return provides a higher quality of life where mind, body and soul are healthy, energized, and balanced.
We are looking for motivated and energetic individuals to join our retail team. Our wellness shop is critical to our operations, so we are seeking candidates who are eager to learn and develop into cannabis accessory professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling customer concerns and questions, as well as performing administrative tasks and responding to any service issues.
Job Duties and Responsibilities shall include but not limited to:
- Greet customers and assist them in finding products or answering their questions
- Provide excellent customer service by actively listening to customer needs and recommending appropriate products
- Stay up-to-date with product knowledge to effectively communicate features and benefits to customers
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves and arranging merchandise displays
- Be responsible for driving the Chesacanna patient service experience
- Represent Chesacanna in a positive and compliant manner
- At all time remain professional and be a positive role model to staff and patients with actions, demeanor, vocabulary, and attitude
- Always communicate with sensitivity and respect for patients, staff and visitors
- Provide exceptional service to each patient
- Answer questions and provide patient education on cannabis products and laws
- Ensure products are stocked and in proper bin in drawers
- Required to know and be able to work retail sales position
- Required to learn and be proficient in retail POS system
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in all transactions
- Assess individual patient needs by asking patients questions regarding their medical conditions and symptoms, carefully listening to patient responses, and further clarifying as needed to recommend cannabis medicine might support their conditions
- Drive retail sales and patient retention
- Maintain a safe, clean environment for patients and employees
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Follow all company safety and security standard operating procedures
- Maintain current knowledge of industry-related news and market trends
- Continue to enhance your knowledge of medical cannabis in how it relates to recommended treatments.
- Comply with company cash handling policies, responsible for accuracy of end shift cash drop; responsible for paying any discrepancy found at end shift cash drop
Education and Skill Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Smoke Shop/Wellness retail experience required
- 21 years of age or older
- Able to pass background check
- Must be friendly, outgoing, trustworthy, dependable, and hardworking
- Contribute to team environment
- Must be able to provide exemplary customer service and represent the company with pride.
- Maintain a culture of high-quality customer service and patient communication
- Notify manager about any customer or product concerns
- Excellent Leadership, and organizational skills
- Daily compliance with MCA policies including but not limited to; state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, inventory tracking, dress code, and work schedules.
- Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
- Experience with cash handling
- Cannabis knowledge is necessary, but a desire for continuing education is vital
- Knowledge of cannabis including- structure, products, medicinal uses, delivery methods, desired effects
- Help customers make the right choices by knowing how different methods of cannabis consumption affect our patients differently and suggesting dosage starting points and upward titration for inexperienced patients
- Ability to effectively explain all variations of cannabis accessories/electronics to patients

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
