THE JOB AT A GLANCE
As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for engaging in and managing the data entry and maintenance duties for customer orders as well as providing technical assistance. You will be responsible for processing orders received via telephone, e-mail, fax, and various other electronic means as well as the maintenance of associated back orders. This is an hourly paid position with additional individual and team commission.
A TYPICAL DAY
Communicate and collaborate with customers, vendors, and other departments to successfully represent and sell high performance and racing products and services associated with Lane Automotive, Inc. via telephone, e-mail, fax, and various other electronic means as well as face-to-face environments.
Occasional interactions through trade shows, customer visits, counter sales, and industry events.
Input customer orders while maintaining gross profit margin standards set by the company.
Assist in product selection with the customer’s input utilizing your technical skills.
Assist customers with discrepancies, questions, and concerns.
Assign authorizations for the return of merchandise following established company policies and procedures.
Keep management informed about trends (new products, pricing, etc.) and relay pertinent information to appropriate people or departments.
Develop and maintain professional business relationships with assigned customers and maintain records using company CRM (Drive)
Assist the Customer Service Department as required on a regular basis with any duties typically associated with that position.
Participate in seminars and other training as required.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
You are a passionate and customer-focused person with a high school diploma or GED equivalent with hands-on experience in racing and/or the performance aftermarket. Post-secondary education in Business, Sales and/or Marketing is a plus and is preferred. Computer skills are required with the ability to learn the company’s operating systems quickly. Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) is required. Must be comfortable communicating with customers using the telephone, email, and various other electronic means on a regular basis.
OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Experience with company’s operating systems (both SxE and IRMS) is preferred
Have strong communication skills and be able to communicate effectively through speaking, listening, and writing to build lasting relationships
Work in a team-oriented fashion as well as independently
Sales growth motivated to increase sales and maintain established margins
Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment
Keep management abreast of activity
Ability to efficiently use computer and applicable software
Use problem solving skills and sound judgment in the dispatch of duties
Adapt to frequent changes in the work environment
Motivated to exceed expectations for excellent customer satisfaction
Use equipment and materials properly
Practice safe work habits

Company is a three-shift operation.
Hours of the position are 9am to 6pm
