The Center for Academic Community Engagement at Siena College (ACE) recruits candidates from around the United States to serve with community-based organizations that work to alleviate poverty in the Capital District. You will have the opportunity to work on capacity-building projects in education, health care, the environment, housing, criminal justice, and/or economic development. You will make an impact with a non-profit organization and the Capital Region by coordinating volunteer-led projects, conducting research, writing grants, and facilitating outreach. Based on your skills and interests, you will be matched with an organization for the year. You will be managed on-site by a supervisor, mentored by 2 VISTA Leaders, and trained by an experienced VISTA team. You will attend a Pre-Service Orientation, an On-Site Orientation, and ongoing training for your personal and professional growth. Additionally, our cohort model provides community and support to help you make the most of your service year experience. We are celebrating fifteen years of success and have had over 200 VISTAs complete the program. Become an ACE AmeriCorps VISTA Member and be a part of something bigger than yourself! NOTE: OUR VISTAs DO NOT LIVE ON CAMPUS AND ARE NOT REQUIRED TO BE SIENA COLLEGE GRADS. AmeriCorps Living Allowance for the 24-25 service year is $22,882 ($877.66 bi-weekly).
Member Duties : The VISTA, serving as the Program Coordinator, will help ensure the program's sustainability by supporting recruitment and management. Additionally, the VISTA member will conduct data collection and assessments to support funding opportunities for Youthful Impact. The goal of this year-three position is to leave Youthful Impact with ongoing partnerships and well-run programs for young people 14 to 24. The specific duties of the position include: -Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to implement digital marketing strategies -Measure marketing performance through analytics -Update and manage the program schedule, coordinating curriculum and activities and liaise with instructors and staff. -Develop and maintain systems to collect and analyze data related to student attendance, engagement, and performance regarding the afterschool program. -Help ensure that students have a safe and engaging learning environment.
