Airborne ISR Operator - 1A8X2
This job requires military service with a contract as a commissioned officer in the Air Force Reserve. The application is for a specific position within the Air Force Reserve.
Position Summary
Having the right information at the right time is key to any mission. Responsible for collecting this information, Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) operators distribute top secret information to commanders. Using a variety of classified equipment and techniques, they make sure we stay ahead of the enemy, no matter the mission.
Primary Responsibilities
- Knowledge of U.S. and allied operations
- Conduct tactical mission planning.
- Assess and manage airborne ISR information and related ground-processing systems.
- Assess threats and provide warnings to ground commanders.
- Perform identification, acquisition, analysis and reporting of ISR tasks.

Qualifications
This is an active-duty position as an Air Force Reserve officer. To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma, GED with 15 college credits or GED
- General ASVAB requirements
- Knowledge of aircraft emergency equipment and procedures
- Must maintain eligibility to deploy and mobilize worldwide
- No record history of temporomandibular joint pain or disorder
- Height no less than 64 inches and no more than 77 inches
- Successful completion of a polygraph test
- Completion of a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)
- Completion of 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 39
