Responsibilities:
- Perform instrument processing and sterilization in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Inspect, assemble, and package instruments and equipment for use in medical procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of instrument processing activities.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to instrument processing and sterilization.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of sterile processing techniques and procedures.
- Understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Ability to operate sterilization equipment and instruments effectively.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Note: Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge in opthalmology surgery is preferred but not required.
