TION SUMMARY
The Account Executive serves as an outside salesperson supporting Arbor Diagnostic’s growth strategy. This position educates potential clients of the services provided by Arbor to secure new business. Additionally, the Account Executive provides ongoing services to customers within a geographic territory. This role is highly visible and serves as the face for Arbor within the medical community. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and cross-functional teams is essential. This person would need to successfully manage a territory as they would their own business. Organization and determination is key.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Documents client communication and territory developments in the assigned CRM
- Congenial and direct approach to difficult conversations with the prospect or customer
- Possesses ability to think strategically about their market, and serve as a consultative resource to prospects and clients
- Services existing accounts and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales opportunities
- Educates, instructs, and upsells services in an assigned geographic area
- Provides ongoing service to existing customers, including organizing new office set ups, assisting with billing issues and resolving inquiries as they arise
- Escalates issues appropriately to management when business is threatened or at-risk
- Focuses sales efforts by studying existing market trends and understanding the prospects needs
- Submits activity reports to management as requested, including weekly updates and territory analyses
- Works cross-functionally to resolve customer complaints by investigating service failures, developing solutions and submitting recommendations to management
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by staying updated with the materials and literature provided
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Business, Marketing or related field is preferred, but not required.
- 2 years of sales experience is required; 4-5 years of healthcare sales is preferred
- Prior experience in a Laboratory setting is preferred
- Willingness to work at all levels to support team goals
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer literacy required
- Ability to manage multiple priorities

TRAVEL AND HOURS
- This position is full-time, Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Travel is required with this position (10%)
