Who We Are Looking For
Atomo Coffee is currently looking for a Production Technician who is self-motivated and driven to succeed! You are highly efficient and understand the importance and excitement of working in a start-up environment, which includes wearing many hats, being flexible with timelines and direction, and having many opportunities for growth within the organization.
This role will be a key member of the production team at our Production Facility in Seattle, WA. This role will report directly to the Production Manager.
What You’ll Do:
· Assist in various stages of molecular coffee production including ingredient preparation, roasting, grinding, and packaging
· Operate all assigned equipment following safety guidelines and standard operating procedures. Report any equipment malfunctions to supervisors promptly.
· Maintain strict adherence to company quality standards and food safety regulations throughout the manufacturing process.
· Ensure cleanliness and sanitation in work areas, adhering to hygiene standards and company GMPs, and participating in routine cleaning activities.
· Work closely with other team members and departments to achieve production goals.
· Communicate effectively and contributing to a positive work environment.
· Ensure the required materials are available for production, and that the factory is safe for all coworkers
· Assist in monitoring and replenishing raw materials and packaging supplies as needed.
· Perform minor machine maintenance.
· Ensure that your work area is clean and safety standards are followed at all times. Report any safety issues immediately to supervisors.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Prior food, beverage, or cpg manufacturing experience preferred
· Forklift certification preferred but not required. Will train.
· Basic computer skills required - knowledge and ability to use various digital tools and technologies to complete job tasks efficiently and effectively including: The ability to use a computer, navigate the internet, and use common software applications such as Microsoft Office
· HS Diploma, equivalent or higher required
· Committed to being a team player and understands the importance of flexibility in a start-up environment.
· Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization and ability to follow instructions.
· Willingness to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
· Hand/eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
· Strong communication skills – verbal, written.
· Self-motivated with often times minimal supervision.
· Work performance must demonstrate a sense of urgency
· Reliable and punctual with a commitment to consistent attendance.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:
· Stand for extended periods of time
· Walk, kneel, bend, and crouch over equipment within the production area as well as loading zones
· Converse in a range of environments from loud production areas to office space.
The employee must be able to:
· Use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
· Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds often, using proper bending and lifting. Lift 25 pounds overhead repeatedly and safely.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include near and far vision, depth perception, color determination, hand/eye coordination, and hand/eye/foot coordination and the ability to adjust focus.
· Other required abilities include reading, calculation, measuring, planning, interpreting, explaining, and compiling data.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however louder noise levels may be experienced when production is occurring or when maintenance work is being performed. Environmental conditions in the plant include exposure to elevated surfaces, vibration, moving objects, noise, slippery floors, electrical, heat, and mechanical hazards.
