Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in dementia care, social work, and providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities and autism. This role involves assisting individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensuring their well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities and autism
- Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Implement care plans and ensure individual needs are met
- Support individuals in daily activities and encourage independence
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and families to ensure holistic care
Qualifications:
- Experience in senior care, or related fields
-PSS certification preferred (must enroll in class within 60 days)
- Knowledge of systems for supporting individuals with disabilities
- Ability to lift and assist individuals as needed
- Background in social work or related field is a plus
-Must be able to pass Background check
- Compassionate attitude towards working with vulnerable populations
- Previous experience in home care or direct support roles
