Job Summary:
The Outpatient Registered Nurse is responsible for the oversight and coordination of nursing and medical assistant services, working within the medical and management teams to ensure quality of services and adherence to relevant regulatory and clinical standards. Provides direct supervision and support to Medical Assistants (Mas), including oversight and completion of clinical duties, such as venipuncture and intramuscular injections. Oversees and participates in collaboration with MAs to provide phone support for client's concerns and triage of correspondence from outside providers to the medical team. Ensures timely completion of refill authorizations and insurance forms. Collaborates with medical team as needed in delivery of psychiatric services to clients. Works under the policy guidelines and procedural standards established by the agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct supervision, recruitment, training, and scheduling of Certified Medical Assistants (MA); including but not limited to, facilitation of weekly team meetings and monthly individual supervision meetings with each MA, completion of staff evaluations, payroll sheets and any other personnel related issues.
- Provide onsite supervision, delegation and training of MAs following all relevant regulatory standards.
- Ensure outstanding customer service is delivered via phone support line for clients. Provide direct phone support for callers with concerns.
- Participate in monthly management meetings and serve as liaison between medical team, clinical and site-based teams, administrative staff, and management team.
- Monitor and maintain safe handling of any onsite medications, including medication samples.
- Collaborate and consult with staff as needed regarding client, staff, or program concerns.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Registered nurse licensed in the State of Washington.
Experience:
- One year of experience in Behavioral health.
- Pass required background checks.
