Responsibilities: - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the Language Arts curriculum - Teach Language Arts concepts and skills to students using various instructional strategies - Assess student learning and provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments - Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and participation - Collaborate with colleagues to develop and align curriculum across grade levels - Utilize technology to enhance instruction and support student learning - Provide academic advising and support to students as needed - Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred) - Valid teaching certification in Language Arts or related subject area - Experience working with students in a classroom setting - Strong knowledge of Language Arts curriculum and instructional strategies - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment - Familiarity with educational technology tools and resources - Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development - Knowledge of Chicago Manual Style or other style guides used in academic writing We offer competitive salary and benefits packages, including health insurance, retirement plans, and professional development opportunities.
