Overview: The Finance Director for NA Retail within the Global Consumer Products Division (CPD) will play a pivotal role in overseeing the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Accounting departments. This position will partner with the NA Retail President to deliver on Revenue, EBITDA and Free Cash Flow commitments across multiple brands. This position will focus on strategic projects including the consolidation of multiple brands into one business unit, consolidation of our supply chain and operational footprint, new product development, and implementation of process improvement across multiple business ERP systems. This role will provide expert guidance to the NA Retail, President and will be responsible for strategic financial planning, analysis, reporting, and ensuring financial compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Managing multiple P&Ls, identifying and implementing performance-driving retail strategies, and influencing top and bottom-line levers to drive growth;
- Ensuring annual revenue and EBITDA goals for the NA Retail portfolio are met by establishing brand-level financial targets and allocating resources to drive performance;
- Partnering with the Consumer Products CFO to develop the long-term commercial vision and strategy for all brands within the NA Retail portfolio;
- Driving all growth initiatives and projects across the NA Retail business including operational footprint consolidation and business process improvements;
- Lead and oversee the FP&A and Accounting departments, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting;
- Consolidate multiple brands into one business unit, streamlining financial processes and systems for efficiency and effectiveness;
- Provide expert guidance and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making by the President and senior management;
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support business objectives and long-term planning;
- Monitor financial performance against targets, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions as needed;
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to ensure alignment of financial goals with overall business objectives;
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies;
- Mentor and develop finance and accounting team members, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement;
- Leading people development and succession planning while continuously working to improve the capability and engagement of people at all levels of the organization;
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of relevant experience, ideally within in a commercial organization, particularly through periods of significant growth.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to drive EBITDA growth and optimize financial performance.
- Experience in consolidating multiple brands or business units preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Organizational and analytical skills to manage a wide range of concurrent initiatives.
- Experience working with a multi-brand portfolio highly preferred.
- Effective communicator and influencer, with the ability to build consensus and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborative team player fostering a culture of cooperation and teamwork to achieve shared goals.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and navigate complex challenges with resilience and adaptability
