Position Title: Marine Electrical Service Technician
Position Type: Full Time, non-exempt
Rate: $25.00+ DOE
Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:00pm, 30 min unpaid lunch
Overtime: Required as requested by management
Probationary Period: 90 Days

Summary Description:
S3 Maritime provides private and recreational vessels with repair, retrofit, and custom solutions. As a general Marine Electrical Service Technician, you will be utilizing a wide array of skills to meet project requirements and achieve company standards. Marine Electrical Service Technicians should be familiar with industry tools, from hand driven to small-medium powered tools. Typical work will include: installation of vessel protection, demolition of existing electrical systems, custom fabrication of dashes, installation of AC/DC components including batteries, chargers, inverters, network control and monitoring systems, etc. S3 is a leader in the installation of new systems including solar integration and lithium package upgrades. Marine Electrical Service Technician will be able to troubleshoot issues with systems and system integration and come up with relevant solutions. Quality is achieved via the company policy of “Factory Fit and Finish or Better”. The employee is expected to have tools and equipment in-line with their position and work requirement.
Skills & Knowledge:
Vessels have numerous complex systems, so this list is not inclusive of all skills sets or areas of expertise/exposure for a Marine Electrical Service Technician:
- Electrical Principals: Amps, Voltage, DC/AC, Single Phase/ Three Phase
- System Integration: Dual system DC/AC integration, battery management/monitoring, Solar Integration
- Network and Electrical planning: Drawing and product specifications, monitoring systems
- Wood, Fiberglass, & Composite work (Dashes, Consoles, wire ways, bus bars, termination points, etc)
- Troubleshooting skills
