Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Oncology Data Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, managing, and analyzing oncology data to support patient care and research efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and maintain accurate oncology data for patient records
- Ensure compliance with data collection standards and procedures
- Analyze data to identify trends and patterns in patient outcomes
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize data accuracy and completeness
- Utilize ICD-9 coding systems for proper classification of oncology diagnoses
- Manage medical records efficiently and securely
- Apply anatomy and physiology knowledge to interpret medical information
Skills:
- Proficiency in data collection and management
- Strong understanding of medical office procedures
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to analyze medical data effectively
- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding systems for accurate diagnosis coding
- Ability to work with various medical record systems
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills
