Responsibilities:
- Maintain and continue to strive to improve the CSI and ESI of our Service Department and in-turn drive profitability
- Train and Motivate employees on a daily basis
- Focus on Customer Service and the customer experience within our own processes
- Ensure shop efficiency and productivity while monitoring expenses
- Oversee Warranty and ESC collection process and ensure clean and accurate submissions
- Promote Teamwork throughout the Service and Parts departments and find any operational efficiencies
- Ensure GM PASE requirements are met to the Top Tier and Training standards are met
- Act as the liaison with Factory Representatives always keeping Platinum Chevrolet at the top of their list
- Keep our 95/5 percentage at or near the top
- Stay abreast of all regulatory compliance items and ensure we follow all laws and regulations accordingly
- Hold Daily and Weekly individual and department meetings to ensure all employees are working toward the same direction
- Reduce repeat repairs, ensure all recalls/field actions are caught for every VIN going through the shop
- Handle any and all customer issues with any necessary care due
Qualifications:
- Service Department Manager candidates must have a minimum of three years of automotive service management experience.
- Managerial positions are required to maintain the profitability of their department while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Managers are required to not only understand but also keep abreast of the federal, state and local regulations that affect their operations.
- Service Department Managers should have strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to work with customers, employees as well as factory representatives and vendors as they represent the dealership.
- Automotive retail industry professionals often have to work extended hours, early/late days and occasionally weekends in order to achieve goals.
