Excavation and General Laborer

Job Summary:
We are seeking motivated, hardworking, and reliable Excavation/General Laborers to join our team – full time – Monday through Friday - 7AM to 4PM - $20-$25/hr depending on experience. As an Excavation/General Laborer, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks in residential and light commercial construction site settings. This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to operate power tools, assemble and fabricate materials, and perform general labor duties. This job is great for people who are motivated, willing to learn, enjoy being outdoors, working hard, and getting projects done efficiently. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required. Our preferred candidate would have experience with water, sewer, storm drains, and residential/light commercial site work. Winter work includes snow plowing/snow removal for repeat commercial and residential clients.
Job Responsibilities Can Include:
-Assist with loading and unloading materials
-Assist with site preparation
-Prepare job sites with all necessary tools, supplies, and other required materials
-Use power tools to cut, drill, and assemble materials
-Assist with the fabrication of structures or components
-General labor such as raking, shoveling, moving equipment and product, hammering in edging, etc.
-Using excavation equipment like skid steers and excavators, etc.
-Driving company trucks/trailers to pick up/dump aggregate or product.
-Perform basic mechanical tasks
-Clean and maintain work areas, ensure the job site is free of debris and other discarded materials to ensure customer satisfaction and safety.
-Clean and maintain any equipment necessary for the job
-Follow safety guidelines and protocols
-Follow instruction with competence and attention to detail
Skills:
-Previous experience working in a construction, landscaping, hardscaping environment is preferred but not required. Will train the right person for the job.
-Prior experience with residential and light commercial site work
-Previous experience with residential/light commercial water, sewer, storm drains, etc
-Basic mechanical knowledge to perform tasks effectively
-Ability to use power tools safely and accurately
-Ability to operate trucks and trailers
-Larger equipment (skid steer, excavator, etc) experience is preferred but not required
-Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
-Physical stamina and strength to perform labor-intensive tasks
-Excellent teamwork and communication skills
