Position Title:21C Site Coordinator
Department: Afterschool Program
Reports To:Program Director/Director of Federal Programs
Evaluated By: Program Director/Director of Federal Programs
JOB SUMMARY:
The site coordinator will work alongside the program director to be a point of contact for students, staff, and parents within the program. The site coordinator will also create and organize lesson plans and activities for grades K-8 across multiple subject areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
1. Develops lesson plans and instructional materials across grades K-8 and provides instruction on how to implement those plans with staff members.
2. Translates lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
3. Collaborates with general education teachers in order to help students who may be lacking foundational skills in the areas of reading and math. Based on these collaborations, the site coordinator will plan activities to help strengthen those skills.
4. Plans and provides extension activities and club based activities based on student interests.
5. Creates a safe and orderly classroom environment that is conducive to learning and
appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
6.. Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student
conduct, develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and
maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
7. Collaborates with other members of the staff in planning instructional goals,
objectives, and methods; assists in the selection of books, equipment, and other
instructional materials.
8. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to maintain a safe and orderly
environment to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
9.. Communicates regularly with various internal and external publics to develop and
maintain a positive school/community relationship.

Available to be onsite for a minimum of 300 programming hours, in addition to professional development that is required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises students and volunteers.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid teaching license for grade level and/or subject area assigned. Meets requirements for Highly Qualified Teacher designation, if applicable to the teaching assignment.
