As a CNA/HHA, you will be instrumental in delivering direct patient care and assisting with daily activities. Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Document medical information promptly and precisely to maintain up-to-date records
- Aid in patient mobility and transfers utilizing proper lifting techniques
- Offer emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times
- Maintain a clean and safe environment following infection control protocols
- Execute basic nursing procedures under nurse supervision
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality
Skills:
- Experience in Geriatric, Behavioral health, or working with people with developmental disabilities is advantageous
- Knowledge of Home care practices and familiarity with HIPAA regulations
- Proficiency in managing records accurately and efficiently
- Exposure to Emergency medicine or Infectious disease care is beneficial
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist with patient mobility
- Completion of an accredited CNA program
- Possession of current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Familiarity with basic medical terminology, anatomy/physiology, and aseptic techniques
- Prior experience in pediatrics or senior care is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team player
- Desirable certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Understanding of Senior care principles
