Job Description:
As the Community Outreach Manager, you will foster positive relationships between the Refugee Services (RS) department and the community it serves. You will engage with stakeholders to promote our mission and initiatives, develop and implement outreach strategies, and build and maintain strong relationships with community members and organizations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement outreach strategies to increase awareness and support for RS programs and events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, organizations, and stakeholders, acting as a liaison between the organization and the community.
- Organize community events, workshops, and meetings to promote RS programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop comprehensive outreach strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to support outreach activities and events.
- Attend community meetings, networking events, and conferences to stay connected with stakeholders and identify partnership opportunities.
Other Duties:
- Participate in relevant trainings.
- Utilize strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work independently under pressure with deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience in data analysis and reporting work
- Adhere to policies related to boundaries with and protection of clients.
- Complete required abuse prevention training (Safe Environment) and others, as required by program.
- Report suspicious and inappropriate behaviors.
- Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.
- Adhere to job specific abuse risk management responsibilities.
- Adhere to procedures related to managing high risk activities and supervising clients, as applicable.
Education & Training:
- 5-7 years community outreach/volunteer program management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in community outreach, engagement, or related roles strongly preferred. Pre-established community network and partnerships.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proven experience in community outreach, engagement, or related roles.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Passion for community service and making a positive impact.
- Effective communication and Presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a flexible environment and lift items up to 50 pounds
Other Requirements:
- Background Check: This position requires a criminal background check.
- Driving Record: Clear driving record, valid driver’s license, required insurance, and own reliable transportation.
- Health: Initial TB screen and other public health screenings as indicated by program.
- Office Hours: M/W/F 7:30am – 5:30pm, Tues/Thurs 7:30am – 7:30pm.
- Hours: 40 hrs/wk; (evening/night and weekend work may be required).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
