Job Summary:
The Children's Home is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner of Psychiatry (NPP) to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Chenango County. The purpose of ACT is to meet the needs of individuals who have not been well served by traditional service delivery approaches. Grounded in a recovery-oriented practice, ACT offers evidence-based treatment, rehabilitation, case management, and support services through a mobile, multidisciplinary behavioral health treatment team.
The NPP will work in collaboration with the Team Leader to oversee individual treatment plans and ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical services. This role involves providing psychiatric and medical assessments, treatment, clinical supervision, education, and training to the team.
Responsibilities:
· Monitor individual treatment plans and staff delivery of clinical services.
· Conduct psychiatric and medical assessments, along with providing treatment.
· Provide clinical supervision, education, and training to the team members.
· Offer psychopharmacology services related to the development, maintenance, and supervision of medications for psychiatric and medical purposes, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), clozapine, and Long-Acting Injectables.
· Practice in accordance with New York State (NYS) practice requirements
Qualifications:
· Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) with specialization in psychiatric/mental health. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in psychiatric/mental health.
· Licensed to practice in the state of New York.
· Experience in providing psychiatric and medical assessments, treatment, and clinical supervision.
· Knowledge and experience in psychopharmacology, including MAT, clozapine, and Long-Acting Injectables. Buprenorphine prescribing experience preferred.
