Working in a corporate and industrial engineering facilities environment, photographers are responsible for capturing high-quality images and videos that document, illustrate, and promote various subjects and events. You will be working in a dynamic environment that may include different settings such as corporate offices, engineering facilities, studios, outdoor locations, and specific event venues. This role requires creative and technical expertise to produce visually appealing content for marketing, editorial purposes, or asset and test documentation.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and problem solve during shoots.
- Ability to create photographs and videos in a range of settings including, but not limited to corporate offices, research facilities, community events, press conferences, and business meetings.
- Capture images that document, illustrate, and promote the people, programs and facilities of the corporation. Respond to internal photo requests.
- Set up and operate various photography and video equipment.
- Assure that all photo assignments are shot, submitted and processed by the requested deadline.
- An expert understanding of photo production, processing, and workflow Understanding of computer software used for planning, editing, and scripting
- Collaborate with communications teams, division leads, and partners to plan video and photo shoots.
- Manage set up and take down of cameras, microphones, lighting, props, and other equipment.
- Produce final visuals which may include graphics, closed captioning, and special effects.
- Work in a digital environment utilizing a Windows based PC, MS-Office
- Plan and execute photo and video shoots, including setting up lighting, backdrops, and props.
- Edit and retouch photos and videos to enhance their quality and appeal.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure content is consistent with brand standards.
- Manage digital asset libraries and ensure proper archiving of visual assets.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in digital photography and videography.
Qualifications and Skills:
- To be able to successfully achieve the essential functions and responsibilities of the job, our preferred candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in photography, film, or a related field preferred, or significant equivalent experience (3-5 years).
- Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively.
- Good communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with teams and clients.
- Creative thinker with an eye for detail and a passion for visual storytelling. Experience working in a corporate, factory or in-house creative environment
- Proven experience as a professional photographer with a strong portfolio showcasing your work and range of photographic styles and projects.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Expertise with digital editing software, such as Adobe CC editing tools for video and photography.
- Strong understanding of digital asset management systems. Ability to edit, file, archive, color-correct and process raw digital files
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and Teams.
- Strong technical knowledge of camera hardware and lens properties, along with lighting techniques and color management.
- Physical ability to carry and manipulate heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.

- Working in a team environment, this individual will adhere to deadlines and consult with corporate clients to estimate time for a project and produce high-quality photos for print and web. Post- photo responsibilities include appropriately tagging, storing and maintaining photos in the company’s digital asset management system.

- Onsite Full-time 40 hrs per week: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at our client’s engineering facilities and corporate office facilities in Warren Michigan.
