Wellfound is now offering a transition program for current RN’s to transition into behavioral health. Wellfound uses the American Psychiatric Transition in Practice Program for our transition program. This position is open to RN’s that have worked one year in a hospital setting minimum or two years in a nursing home.
We are taking applications for both our day and night shift positions. The full time positions are 3x12 hours shifts per week with a one year commitment to the organization.
Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited. We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients.

Position:
RN’s promote and restore patients' or clients mental health in a safe and therapeutic environment through direct nursing care to assigned patients within the nursing process; create psychiatric care plans and wrap around services within a medical model; collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; provide physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; and supervise assigned team members.

- Hourly- $39.53 - $73.28 based on the union scale for experience
- Shift Differentials: $4.25 nights and $3.00 weekends

- Paid Time Off
- You will accrue Paid Sick and Safe Leave at 1 hour per 40 hours worked. Paid Sick leave cannot be used until 90 days after your hire date.
- Paid Time Off will be accrued based on hours worked and tenure. You will accrue 0.12 hours of PTO per hours worked until you reach the next level of accrual. PTO cannot be used until 90 days after your hire date with the exception of designated Wellfound holidays.
- Sign on Bonus: $10,000 payable over one year
Union Membership
As a condition of employment, you must join the SEIU Union within thirty (30) calendar days of employment and remain a member in good standing of the Union, unless you submit and are approved for a religious exemption.
What We Require:
- Associate degree in nursing required, BSN preferred.
- Current Washington State license without restrictions
- Minimum one year as licensed RN working in a hospital setting
- Candidate should possess strong nursing assessment skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) card through American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
