Job Overview:
As a Scheduling Planner in our aerospace manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing production schedules to meet delivery timelines and quality standards. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless workflow, efficient resource allocation, and timely completion of manufacturing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
· Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, project timelines, and resource availability. Adapt to our current ERP system.
· Capacity Planning: Monitor production capacity and allocate resources effectively to meet production demands.
· Collaboration: Work closely with production teams, supply chain management, and engineering departments to gather information on production requirements and constraints.
· Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock, ensuring optimal use of resources.
· Timeline Adherence: Ensure adherence to project timelines and delivery schedules, proactively identifying and addressing potential delays.
· Data Analysis: Analyze historical production data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
· Communication: Regularly communicate production schedules, changes, any updates regarding push outs or pull-ins, foster a collaborative work environment.
· Problem Solving: Address and resolve scheduling conflicts, bottlenecks, and resource constraints in a timely manner.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to production schedules, resource allocations, and workflow processes.
· Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production planning and scheduling processes.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent to 4 to 6 years of experience.
· Proven experience in production scheduling, preferably in aerospace manufacturing.
· Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, resource allocation, and capacity planning.
· Proficiency in using scheduling software and ERP systems.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of aerospace industry regulation
