This is a hybrid role. Majority of work to be performed remotely. May be asked to work from office periodically.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare and track forms for state/province filing (annual report, qualifications to do business, sales and use tax, withholding tax and unemployment registration).
- Prepare, file and retain documents for local business qualifications.
- Prepare, update, maintain corporate documents (Resolutions, Company History, FEIN, DBA, Jurisdictions).
- Manage all Real Estate agreements (Store, Distribute, Prepare, Review and Report).
- Maintain all vehicle titles, preparation of sales, ownership and registration documents.
- Assist in resolving collection claims against the Company.
- Organized, track and prepare bankruptcy and class action suit filings.
- Review, revise and assist in negotiating standard contracts.
- Auditing of commercial contracts for financial and billing terms and coordinating with accounting team to ensure proper invoicing and tracking.
- Compile standardized reports in connection with quarterly financial reporting.
- Conduct various research projects.
- Prepare correspondence, memorandum and reports.
- Document retention (scanning, filing, electronic files).
- Manage insurance renewal process, accident reporting, issuance of COI’s and fielding any coverage related questions.
- Environmental Compliance by distributing and maintaining documentations regarding potential downstream vendors, distributing compliance documents, completing all questionnaires submitted by customers, reporting any contact with customers, and updating the flow of materials.
- Work with and support outside counsel as required.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- Paralegal Certification (strongly preferred, but not required with demonstrated equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of paralegal experience (combination of law firm and in-house experience preferred)
- Demonstrated PC skills and experience with Microsoft Windows applications – Word, PowerPoint, Excel and the ability to learn other programs as required
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priority items and track extensive detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Flexibility and willingness to pitch in as a team member
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $93,128.00 per year
