Ethos Early Learning Center is looking for a caring and experienced Lead Toddler Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis, Monday through Friday, from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Lead teacher salaries start at $24+ per hour. Your level of education and experience will determine your salary.
Our ideal candidate has at least five years of experience working with toddlers in a classroom setting, demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills, holds a degree in Early Childhood Education, and resides in the Greater Boston Area.
Parking space is available, and we are conveniently located near public transportation (MBTA subway and bus lines).
Core requirements:
- Ability to pass a thorough criminal background check and drug screening.
- A bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field is required.
- 5+ years of experience working with toddlers in a classroom setting.
- EEC Lead Toddler Certification.
- Ability to collaborate with co-teachers for the development and implementation of age appropriate engaging curriculum, as well as responsibility for all aspects of parent communication, including conferences, progress reports, and daily communication.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
- Has working knowledge of state licensing and accreditation systems.
- Knowledge of Montessori, Waldorf, and Reggio Emilia is important at Ethos but not required for this position.
- Loves to share meditation and yoga activities with young children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Physical and Travel Requirements
- Located in South Boston, MA
- Frequently lifts or moves weight, such as lifting, carrying, or holding children up to 60 lbs.
- Repetitive bending, stretching, squatting, kneeling.
- Works with children on the floor.
- Works outdoors in a variety of weather.
