QUALITY CONTROL SUPERVISOR - Chicago, IL (Bartlett area)
SALARY RANGE: $70, 000 – 75,000 + 5% bonus
SHIFT | HOURS: 3rd shift | 10p – 6a Monday - Friday
The Quality Control Supervisor will be responsible of the QC Technicians scheduling, will be accountable to develop Food Safety and Quality programs that result in compliance with Corporate Policies and Procedures, USDA, FDA GMPs, and customer requirements as related to process and packaging of products produced at the facility and incoming ingredients.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or any related science
- MININUM of 5 years of quality control experience in food manufacturing
- HACCP Certified
- USDA Audit experience
- Basic principles of microbiology and biochemistry, organic and inorganic chemistry
- Shall be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint systems.
- Multi-task and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player and organized.
- Mathematical aptitude with analytical proficiency
- Professional communication skills
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in investigation of customer complaint.
- Maintain all instruments and equipment calibration.
- Involvement with positive release and Hold/release products
- Complete regular GMP audit of the manufacturing facility
- USDA Audits
