We are looking for a qualified Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to provide preventive maintenance to our production equipment, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, conveyor systems, and production machines in order to ensure that production downtime is kept to a minimum.
All activities must be performed according to corporate and plant safety standards and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations as issued by regulatory agencies.
Other specific duties will include:
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Repairs parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Prepares mechanical maintenance reports.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Will work on building/facilities maintenance as needed.
- Must be able to operate various power tools including but not limited to torque wrenches, calipers, and gauges in a safe and proficient manner.
- Machine, safety, or other related manufacturing certifications is a plus.
- Minimum 4 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, and proven training or experience operating specific equipment required.
- Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking skills, and proven ability to work in teams and independently required.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are crucial to being a successful maintenance mechanic.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to recommend process improvements
- Experience with PLC is preferred
