About the Position
Parents Anonymous® Inc. is looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and culturally responsive Vice President of Programs. The Vice President of Programs serves as a team leader overseeing specific program Contracts and Grants providing supervision to Directors, Managers and Coordinators ensuring the delivery of Evidence-Based Parents Anonymous® Programs to ensure well-being and family strengthening for diverse Parents, Children and Youth.
Specific Job Duties
- Serve as a Member of the Executive Leadership Team to ensure Vision, Mission and Goals of Parents Anonymous® Inc. are achieved.
- Create plans to manage and oversee implementation of different programs utilizing S.M.A.R.T Model though Smartsheet documentation of achievement of all Deliverables.
- Oversee program implementation and management from start to completion, including establishing deadlines, milestones, and processes.
- Recruit, select and train all program staff for assigned grants and contracts.
- Design, manage and monitor all required reporting systems to meet contract and grant obligations.
- Attend and actively participate all required Meetings and Trainings assigned by funders.
- Monitor operational compliance with policies to ensure the success of the programs.
- Collaborate with Vice President of Research and Development to design data collection and timely reporting based on funder requirements,
- Provide analysis to inform best practices and ensure that programs meet model fidelity and are engaged in continuous process improvement on an ongoing basis.
- Assist in the development and oversight of grant and contract budgets.
- Approve specific budget items and collaborate with Finance on oversite of overall program budgets.
- Unitize reports from the Data and QA departments for outcome monitoring, program effectiveness, billing, and staff supervision.
- Provides effective leadership, not by simply asserting authority, but instead by fostering trust through honesty and transparency while fostering staff development and growth.
- Provide guidance to the programs department with performance and outcome-based program initiatives that include developing written and verbal operational strategies and procedures when needed.
- Build strategic partnerships with funders, other partners and stakeholders and represent Parents Anonymous® Inc. in local, count, state and national coalitions, commissions and initiatives as assigned.
- Reports to President & CEO
- Works in shared leadership® with California Parent Leadership Team® and Chair of NPLT and California Parent Leadership Team®
- Work in shared leadership® with other Vice Presidents to meet program goals.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD. Or PsyD degree in social work, psychology, public health, public policy, or similar field.
- Minimum of ten years of nonprofit high level administration experience in program development, implementation and management including outreach with BIPOC and Rural communities in prevention, mental health, social services and family strengthening programs
- Must have a commitment to ant-racist, anti-classist and anti-sexist practices and policies and strong commitment to providing services to diverse Parents, Children and Youth.
- A minimum of three to five years of supervisory experience of management level staff.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with partner agencies and convening meetings with other community organizations.
- Lived Experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of social service funded agencies and requirements, including Department of Health Services (DHS) Housing for Health, Department of Mental Health (DMH), and
- Operate as an advocate for the underserved.
- Must exercise a creative, innovative approach in expanding the breadth of Parents Anonymous.
- Be a forward-thinking active leader that continuously calibrates the Programs approach to ensure we’re rising to meet the scope, magnitude, and complexity within all programs.
- Strong knowledge of best practices regarding service linkage.
- Strong working knowledge of mental health and substance abuse issues.
- Must be highly motivated and a self-starter. The ability to communicate with and relate to a diverse group of people including chronically homeless clients, community, and other staff.
- Must have excellent leadership, administrative and organizational skills.
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to represent Parents Anonymous in multiple venues, such as conferences, stakeholder meetings, and funder convening.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise professional staff while handling multiple tasks and relating to diverse groups.
- Strong knowledge and experience of preparing and analyzing program budgets from various funding sources.

- Demonstrated meaningful shared leadership® with diverse Parents, Children & Youth.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
