Job Description:
As a Plastic Surgeon Medical Assistant at Luminary Dermatology, you will be an integral part of our plastic surgery team, providing clinical and administrative support to ensure the highest level of patient care. This position requires flexibility and a willingness to travel to multiple locations to meet the needs of our practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist plastic surgeons with clinical procedures, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
- Prepare patients for surgery by taking medical histories, recording vital signs, and explaining procedures.
- Maintain a sterile environment and ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and prepared.
- Provide post-operative care instructions and support to patients, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Perform wound care, suture removal, and dressing changes as directed by the plastic surgeon.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and handling billing and insurance documentation.
- Travel to various Luminary Dermatology locations as needed to provide support and ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor, ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in plastic surgery and dermatology.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification.
- Previous experience in dermatology and plastic surgery setting is required.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to different locations as required.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and patient needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $43,008.70 - $51,795.43 per year
