Job Summary:Lead a team within the North America region managing the major aspects of operations for the Nifco Supply base. Specifically, our outsource partners and external purchased component partners. Goal is to support the supply base helping them to produce and delivery products on time per our regional quality expectations. This person should have a passion for growth. Ultimately, they will help Nifco grow and control our outsource supply base giving Nifco a unique path to growing the business.
This person will lead:
· New Supplier Development team who works to find, validate, and develop new suppliers brought in as partners.
· New Model Development team dedicated to the successful launch of new model parts into our outsource partners.
· Mass Production Supplier Quality team dedicated to managing the production Quality of our current supply partners.
This person will collaborate with:
· Corporate Purchasing on new business that has been awarded to the partners they are managing.
· Plant customer quality engineers to ensure a proper response is given to customer quality issues.
· Planning to make sure our partners are producing Quality parts per the orders and time given.
· Tooling to make sure tools are in a condition to meet the demand given.
· Logistics to make sure parts are received in, stored, and shipped per customer demand.
· Buildout and inventory control to make sure inventory is managed appropriately.
Essential Functions:
· Develop and maintain the organizational chart, budget, and Business Planning for the group.
· Create the Regional Standards necessary to support both NAM and the supply base.
- Cultivate mutually beneficial business relationships between NAM and our suppliers.
· Identify, manage, and develop low performing suppliers.
- Lead Supplier continuous improvement efforts
· Primary interface with suppliers for issues (internal and customer)
· Engage other NAM resources as necessary (Ex: Tooling, Planning, etc.)
- Ensure team is performing on-site audits to assess the ability of the supplier to meet NAM expectations, verify countermeasures, and participate in improvement activities. Audit as required.
· Support assigned NAM business units for supplied product, and act as liaison between plant and supplier. Protect the plants from Quality and Delivery issues.
· Support Customer Quality in developing root cause, countermeasures, and sustained corrective actions to Quality and Delivery issues.
- Assure communications between NAM/Suppliers
- Maintain the NAM Supplier Quality Manual and Supplier Rules
- Promote a clear understanding of NAM supplier management system to suppliers
- Responsible to follow the NAM SQM for Chargebacks/VDFs
· Maintain a fair and firm approach to the supply base.
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or Engineering with a minimum 3 years management experience is preferred, but not necessary. Other education, or relevant experience will be considered.
Skills/Experience/Requirements:
· Exhibits the ability to build effective relationships both internally and with the supply base
· Plastics Industry and OEM experience
· Proven ability to manage a diverse Supply base
· Strong Problem-Solving skills
· Ability to lead a department in all aspects
· Ability to clearly communicate and report to all levels of management
· Must be analytical and make sound decisions based off data and budget awareness
· Must be cooperative and work well in team environment.
· Must demonstrate ability to prioritize, meet stringent deadlines and employ project management skills

· Expectation is that this position will travel as much as the business dictates. Likely travel will occur to different supply partners and plants somewhat frequently. Estimation 60%.
· Must have passport.
