Retirement Unlimited, Inc., a premier provider of Residential Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care is seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join the team!
The Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of the company's payroll. The duties of this role include processing multi-state weekly payroll, auditing and correcting timekeeping records, and responding to employee inquiries. An understanding of wage garnishments, taxes, and other payroll deductions is required.
- Analyzes information on timesheets, deductions, direct deposits, and employee withholding tax source documents and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Analyzes all earnings adjustments.
- Advises HR of any deviations from company policy or procedures.
- Runs payroll, on- and off-cycle, in SmartLink.
- Performs pay calculations and research errors.
- Transmits garnishment and tax files to SmartLink.
- Assists in the development of payroll policies and procedures.
- Provides consulting support to HR advising them of payroll compliance, policies and procedures.
- Ensures procedures are followed in accordance with Payroll compliance standards.
- Process any special payroll runs including bonus payrolls.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of federal and state wage and tax laws, FLSA and overtime requirements
- Able to work well across multiple departments (Operations, Human Resources, Accounting, etc.)
- Meets deadlines, prioritizes assignments, and multitasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, flexible, deadline-oriented and able to complete tasks with limited supervision.
- Minimum 3 years of multi-state payroll processing experience with high employee volume
