BASIC PURPOSE
Responsible for the reliable operation of Hydrox manufacturing facility, including daily management and coordination of plant operations while ensuring compliance with safety, quality(cGMP), labor, environmental regulations, and corporate policy, while maintaining operational profitability. In collaboration with the leadership team, this position oversees all activities related to Production, Compounding, Maintenance, Facilities, Shipping and Warehouse functions.. Applies best in class practices, such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, to optimize productivity, maximize yields, and reduce costs. Drives continuous improvement in processes. Works closely with Supply Planning, Quality, and HR departments.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- With the VP Operations, develops and executes the annual plant operations plan and budgets based on Company goals and objectives. Annually establish goals and KPIs for department and groups, in support of company objectives.
- Reliabily produce goods to meet Demand / Schedule. Actively manage resources to avoid “Sales Cut” or “Out of Stock” positions.
- Assure compliance with established policies and procedures. Comply with CGMP, OSHA and environmental regulations. Coordinates with the head of Quality to support the Plant’s quality program.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing, yield improvement, 5Y root cause investigation, to improve safety, quality, cost and delivery metrics.
- Manage training, cross training, and developmental plans for departmental personnel. Foster high employee morale and engagement. Plan and manage the seasonal adjustment of manpower.
- Oversees maintenance of the building, equipment, production infrastructure and security.
- Manage departmental spending to within budget.
- Support the development of new products. Ensure adequate pilot test and line test for new products. Update procedure to support internal production of new products.
- Participates in long range planning for expansion of production, facilities and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER INFORMATION
- B.S. degree with concentration in Engineering or Applicable Science. MBA preferred.
- 15 years’ experience in manufacturing with supervisory and project management responsibility. Experience in Pharm or consumer product environment preferred.
- Knowledge of cGMP and experience with integrated enterprise planning systems
- Experience in Best in Class techniques such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to drive operational improvement
- Experience and broad understanding of safety systems, rules and policies and improvement methods.
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Experience in budget preparation, spending management, and cost reduction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organization, project management, and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
