The Tower Planner is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the planning and execution of catering logistics for airline flights. This role involves managing flight schedules, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of meals, and maintaining communication with various teams to ensure smooth operations. The Tower Planner plays a critical role in ensuring that all catering services meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Monitor and manage daily flight schedules, ensuring accurate and timely catering service for all flights.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff, production teams, and dispatchers to ensure meals are prepared and delivered according to airline specifications.
- Utilize planning and scheduling software to manage flight schedules, catering orders, and resource allocation.
- Communicate with airline representatives to confirm flight details, catering requirements, and any last-minute changes.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and regulatory standards in catering operations.
- Maintain accurate records of flight schedules, catering orders, and related communications.
- Address and resolve any issues or disruptions that may affect the timely delivery of catering services.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in logistics, operations management, or related fields is a plus.
- Previous experience in flight planning, logistics coordination, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using planning and scheduling software, as well as other relevant technology.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
