Submit an original signed State Application (STD 678) along with a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ). The SOQ should provide a response to the following in narrative form. Include a timeline and reference to where the experience was gained, i.e. employment, volunteer etc.
1)Please describe how you meet the qualifications for this position.
2)Please describe your knowledge and/or experience working within the child welfare system.
3) Please describe your experience facilitating/participating in decision making teams or work groups.
4) Please describe your experience serving in a leadership role where you were responsible for the development, modification, and maintenance of a project, program, or assignment.
The SOQ must be limited to two pages in length and formatted using 12-point Arial font, single spacing with one-inch margins. Applications submitted without a SOQ will not be evaluated and will be considered a waiver of interest. A resume, cover letter, or other documents do not substitute for the SOQ.
Applications will not be accepted that did not follow instructions or are missing a Statement of Qualifications that is responsive to the questions posed. Applications will be screened based on experience and desirable qualifications. Only the most qualified who submit the signed State Application (STD 678) and Statement of Qualifications will be interviewed. Subject to SROA process.
This position is subject to fingerprinting clearance by the Department of Justice.

Training and Development assignments may be considered based on the availability of eligible candidates and are subject to approval by the Hiring Authority prior to appointment. Training and Development assignments are temporary in nature and shall not exceed twenty-four (24) months.
Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview, but they must provide proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for an appointment.
