Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Production Manager - FOOD
- Implement Daily Production Schedule.
- Plan staffing for the days needs according to standards.
- Review material requirements for the daily schedule.
- Evaluate machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.
- Establish a balance between increased productivity and reduced cost of manufacturing operations.
- Motivating, supporting and providing guidance to production staff.
- Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production.
- Set productivity goals for each production team.
- Develop workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
- Prepare and maintain production reports.
- Implement methods or practices to reduce waste and prevent rejections.
- Work closely with all departments to achieve company goals.
Qualifications of the Production Manager - FOOD
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
- Inventory knowledge.
- Knowledge of quality systems and standards.
- Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing techniques.
- In-depth computer skills.
- Business knowledge, finance and management principles.
- Knowledge of machines and tools.
- Familiar with Human Resources principles and practices.

Pay: Up to $105,000.00 per year
Experience:
- production manager in food manufacturing: 3 years (Required)
Work Location: One location
Responsibilities:
- Control quality and product cost.
- Control inventory levels.
- Communicate with staff members.
- Facilitate the changeover of mail production equipment.
- Manage mail production employees.
- Maintain mail production preventative maintenance program.
- Maintain company assets.
- Oversee the daily operation of the mail production department
- Deploy staff members as needed to ensure continued operation of the department.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
