Job Overview:
Journey Ambulance is seeking an experienced EMS Operations Manager to join our team. an active EMT license is required.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our EMS division in Sacramento. This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, performance management, and supervises the work of staff performing driving, dispatching, and other supporting duties within the Operations Division
Duties:
- - Daily oversight of onsite staff. This includes effective scheduling, managing employee performance, and accountability for following company protocols
- - Documenting all employee performance issues daily as needed.
- - Be available for phone calls after hours if required (DOO will provide primary employee/incident management after hours)
- - Ensure compliance with all management policies and procedures
- - Oversee the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring proper handling of materials
- - Assist the Director of Operations as primary contact for dispatch oversight for the assigned regionScheduling of employees within company parameters, ensuring operational needs are met, and mitigating labor costs (labor allocation management),
- -daily dispatch schedule and routing of units, ensuring efficiency; dispatch as needed; Schedule drive routes/call scheduling to maximize efficiency
- -Vehicle maintenance oversight; ensure company vehicles are in proper working condition, schedule/coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed
- - Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing OSHA regulations and conducting regular safety inspections
- - Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency
- - Responsible for driver and vehicle safety, ensuring all employees are properly trained and are adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols
Experience:
- Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in the ambulance/EMS industry, of which three (3) years should be in a supervisory or lead capacity
- CA EMS license required
- Clean driving record Clean criminal history
- Able and willing to work both in the office and in the field regularly.
- Knowledge of general vehicle maintenance and upkeep
