Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as a dynamic and energetic leader, while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation and open communication. Works as a change agent and challenges the departmental processes to improve and streamline department operations, through the continuous assessment of policies and procedures, work processes and program effectiveness and value. Demonstrates excellent facilitator skills in determining a vision, aligns and inspires the team to achieve the vision. Partners and coordinates with other departments to ensure total guest satisfaction and efficient operations in a safe, friendly, comfortable environment, by well-trained, motivated employees. Embraces, role models and implements all elements of our customer service program including Spotlight on Success and Buzz Sessions, and tier prioritized service. Recommends and implements change to improve overall employee and guest satisfaction. Establishes and endorses the business objectives, ethics and values of Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. in accordance with the Code of Commitment.
Assists the Cashiering Assistant Manager in performance of duties and assumes full responsibility in their absence. When acting as an Assistant Manager, the Cashiering Supervisor cannot act as a Credit Representative. Monitors casino cashiering activities on the front line, in the specialty banks, in the main bank and redemption areas. Assists in the preparation and coordination of scheduling casino cashiering personnel. Works specialty bank or front line upon request. Position is located in a cigarette smoke environment. Monitors money room activities on the racing level. Redeems Sportsbook tickets when Sportsbook is closed. Cashiering supervisor may also act as a Credit Representative when a credit rep is not available and will have no credit approval responsibilities.
Complies with and upholds company expectations including Code of Commitment, policies, procedures, industry regulations, department goals and business strategy. Politely gives consistent, timely and accurate information and finds answer when unsure. Uses Spotlight behaviors when encountering guests. Acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages other to do the same. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred. A minimum of 1-2 years’ related experience required. A minimum of 1 year supervisory experience required. Ability to communicate with all levels of management in a clear, friendly, and confident manner. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must present a well-groomed appearance. Must be able to maneuver around office areas, effectively work in high traffic areas and respond to visual and aural cues. Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment. Must be self-motivated and be able to handle more than one function at a time by being well organized. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Good mathematical and clerical aptitude for accurate record keeping. Excellent customer service skills a must.
Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same. Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures.
Is able to work in smoke filled environment and is able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate license through the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
