Position Overview:
As a Crane Operator you will be responsible for operating and maintaining cranes to ensure the safe and effective lifting and positioning of materials on our construction sites throughout New York, Long Island, New Jersey, and southern Connecticut. The ideal candidate holds a valid New York crane operator license and has a strong track record of safety and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Safe Crane Operation: Operate cranes in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all relevant safety guidelines, regulations, and best practices.
Material Handling: Lift and position materials, equipment, and machinery as required by construction projects, ensuring precision and accuracy.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on cranes, including inspections, lubrication, and minor repairs. Report any issues promptly to the maintenance team.
Communication: Coordinate with ground crews, signal persons, and other team members to ensure seamless and safe crane operations.
Adherence to Regulations: Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including obtaining and maintaining the required New York crane operator license.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including lifts, maintenance, and inspections.
Site Safety: Contribute to a culture of safety by actively participating in safety meetings, conducting pre-operational checks, and promoting a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
Valid New York State Crane Operator License.
Proven experience as a Crane Operator in construction settings.
Knowledge of crane operations, rigging techniques, and lift planning.
Ability to interpret and follow lift plans and signals.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
Physical fitness and agility to perform the duties of the role.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
