Duties include:
- Food setup, presentation, and service as directed by the event lead.
- Assists in breaking down and cleaning space.
- Maintains high standards of quality.
- Provides guests with exceptional customer service, Maintains accurate inventory and service records before, during, and after events. Updates manager on any items/supplies/equipment problems or materials needed.
- Maintains equipment and dishware in a clean and sanitary manner.
- Responsible for cash handling and must be able to fill out pre- and post-shift cash logs accurately and completely.
- Assists with restocking and replenishment of supplies.
- Maintains strict adherence to personal hygiene standards.
- Maintains a safe working environment by following established safety practices/policies and reporting defective equipment or situations to supervisor for necessary corrective action.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Outgoing personality, positive attitude, and strong communication skills with clear enunciation (verbal & written)
- Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash box or register
- Punctual, able to report to work as scheduled; Good time management skills
- Ability to actively listen, follow direction and ask questions for clarification
- Able to work independently, demonstrating good judgment
- Strong interpersonal skills, respectful, and courteous nature
- Presents self professionally and positively represents the agency in language, demeanor and appearance
- Ability to work well with other team members
Education / Training / Experience: Knowledge Required by the Position
- High School graduate or GED.
- One years’ experience waiting on tables desired
- One years’ experience in banquet and event services operation desired.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, twisting, turning, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) such as cartons of food supplies, pots and trash; dexterity and the ability to feel and/or operate objects, tools, or controls.
