Role Overview
Maple Counseling Center is seeking a Care Associate to be part of the Briskin|Wilder Welcome Center. This is a role for someone who is passionate about providing quality customer service, and loves making sure people feel supported and welcome.
The Welcome Center is an integral part of The Maple Counseling Center’s new clinic. The inspiration and vision is to create a place where anyone in need of mental health help will feel welcome and be assisted in their journey toward mental wellness.
As the first point of contact with Maple Counseling, the Welcome Center staff will conduct a screening process to assess client needs. Outpatient counseling is the primary service offered at Maple Counseling, but the Welcome Center will go beyond that. Individuals or families seeking help may need specialized mental health treatment, a higher level of care, or other community resources. If Maple Counseling services are not the best fit, the Care Associate will assist in guiding the consumers through our process to make sure they obtain the help they need. The Care Associate will help in explaining services and obtaining proper resources for its participants.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a team that helps transform the Welcome Center vision in to a thriving community resource. Maple Counseling’s arrival in a new neighborhood offers opportunity to meet our neighbors where they are, assess local needs, and respond as a helping resource. Most importantly, the Care Associate will set a tone of caring, concern, and professional reassurance. The ability to explain mental health treatment options clearly and compassionately is essential. The Welcome Center will exude a culture of “welcome” where all who enter feel accepted and validated. “The moment you arrive, you are welcome here. It’s your home away from hopelessness.”
Maple Counseling is a non-profit 501(c)3 whose mission is to provide low-cost mental health services to individuals of all ages, couples, and families throughout Los Angeles County, and to provide clinical training for graduate and postgraduate students working towards licensure in the mental health field. Therapy services are provided by Trainees and Associates in the Maple Counseling clinic, and remotely via telehealth.
