Content Marketing Strategy Manager

Position Summary:
This position will drive a centrally led, college-driven end-to-end storytelling strategy that positively impacts both internal and external culture and success, distribute U of I core narrative across all channels and create culture-supporting content that ties back to and adds value to internal Vandal narrative and U of I brand and strategy. The incumbent will orchestrate U of I narrative that can land strategically across communications and marketing channels to the Vandal family (including internal and external), news agencies and media outlets.
Duties may include:
- Develop and maintain a centrally led, college-driven quarterly storytelling plan
- Consult and collaborate with college-level communicators
- Develop and edit media across multiple platforms
- Measure, analyze and report all story metrics and engagement
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in marketing, communications, journalism or graphic design; four additional years of experience (for a total of seven) may substitute for a Bachelors Degree
- Three years developing marketing and communication content
- Developing content for evaluating performance data across multiple channel types
- Handling a variety of deadline-driven projects simultaneously that require attention to detail
- Project management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading content and storytelling strategy and development in a centralized or in-house capacity
- Experience managing a team
- Experience setting priorities to meet institutional goals
